Therapy for Trauma

Therapy for trauma is for anyone carrying the weight of past experiences that still affect how they feel, think, or live day to day. This could include childhood trauma, a single event, ongoing complex trauma, sexual trauma, domestic violence or abuse, vicarious trauma, or even experiences you may not fully realize were traumatic.

You might notice things like flashbacks, nightmares, feeling disconnected, being easily triggered, or holding constant tension and stress in your body. Trauma can also show up in relationships or make it hard to relax and feel safe. It can feel like stress that does not seem to go away, tension in your body, trouble with relationships, or feeling easily irritated or overwhelmed.

Why it’s especially important to seek support for trauma

Unprocessed trauma can affect nearly every part of your life from your physical health to your relationships and how you feel about yourself. It may lead to patterns like avoiding certain situations, feeling constantly on edge, emotional shutdown, or struggling to trust others.

Seeking support does not erase what happened, but it helps prevent trauma from quietly controlling your life. Therapy gives you a space to explore these experiences safely, with guidance and tools to help reduce their hold on you. Healing can bring comfort, strength, calmness, and the chance to be more present.

What if I'm not ready to talk about everything?

That is completely okay and completely normal. Trauma therapy is always guided by your pace and comfort level. There is no pressure to share anything before you feel ready.

At WiseMinds, we focus first on building trust, helping you feel safe and grounded in sessions. Some clients begin by learning calming techniques or exploring their present day challenges before ever discussing past events. Healing starts with feeling understood and supported, and from there, we move forward together in a way that feels right for you.

Our Approach

At WiseMinds, our approach to trauma recovery is gentle, individualized, and always trauma-informed. We focus first on building safety and trust, helping you feel grounded before moving into deeper healing work.

We use evidence-based methods such as somatic experiencing, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness practices, grounding techniques, narrative therapy, traumatic incident reduction (TIR), and exposure therapy.

Our goal is to support you in understanding your body’s responses, processing past experiences when you are ready. Through this process, we want to help you not just heal from what happened but also begin rewriting your story in a way that feels empowering and true to who you are today.

What our clients

say about Wiseminds!

"I was in therapy with Klaudia for quite some time. I can genuinely say that ever since I started working with her, I have been able to manage my anxiety and intrusive thoughts much better. I was extremely scared to start therapy, but Klaudia made me feel very safe. I looked forward to our weekly chats and now I feel more prepared to take on whatever comes my way."

"I highly recommend Klaudia as a therapist. My journey was nothing easy, and I can say that she was the first person in my life that actually made me feel heard. She is very passionate and empathetic, and made me feel like I was never alone."

"Klaudia, Thank you so much for helping me. I feel way more confident making decisions now and I’m still working on not being such a people pleaser. Before therapy, I didn’t even realize what I was doing and that I was living more for others than for myself. Klaudia really helped me become more aware."
